Stress, Time Management and Goal Setting

Make it a necessity that you prioritize your activities and whatever else you need to do. This can help you to stay focused on what you need to be doing.

When you incorporate time management into your daily routine, it must be organized to where your time is being utilized wisely. There may be some times in your schedule where you have some free time. That too, can be used in ways that are effective and produce results.

Another way to utilize your time is to complete the activities as scheduled. This will relieve the stress of you having to rush and complete them.

One thing you don’t want to do is to delay completion of your activities or other tasks. Procrastination not only costs you time, it also costs you money. It produces pressure on you to get things done in a shorter amount of time.

Or you may have to delay them for another day or so. Procrastination is not healthy and causes you unnecessary stress. It is very important that you manage your time wisely to avoid this from becoming a habit.

Keeping organization in your home or at work can help you use your time more efficiently. You don’t have to spend time needlessly looking for things. When things are organized, it doesn’t take long to find it when you need it. You can bring undue stress on yourself just by not being organized. You end up spending more time looking for what you need than you should. This can definitely rob you of your time.

Just about everyone has a goal that they would like to see come to fruition. However, they may not all come to life. It may be because you have too much on your plate or you just never guided it to completion.

Then you start to get stressed and frustrated because what you wanted to happen didn’t happen for you. Make sure that your goals are sensible and something that you can accomplish.

Getting in a comfort zone can be a bad habit. It can also be a hard one to break, if you’re not careful. A lot of times it’s fear that keeps us from moving forward. Some people are used to the same routine day in and day out.

They’ve been doing things the same way for many years and have never been challenged to rise above that. There are times when you have to be self-motivated.

You will not always have someone around you to encourage you and pump you up like you want. It’s important that you take that first step to remove the fear and learn how to do things differently.

Once time has elapsed, you cannot get it back. Nowadays, time has become precious commodity and once it’s gone, that’s it. You will need to set aside time to do things for yourself.

Get yourself refreshed and learn to relax. Turn off the computer, phones and everything else that you’re used to having in your presence. You can get stressed out by not acknowledging that you need a break.

Don’t force yourself to take on more activities and meetings than you can handle. You may have to cut back if you feel yourself taking on additional loads. This can really stress you out. Cutting back may be difficult, but it’s the best thing to do on the way to being stress-free.

Live Your Life Purpose: Soul Inspired Goal Setting For 2009 – ABC Action Guide

A. Where Are You Now?

Let’s get started by taking a good look at your life the way it is today. Do this exercise by filling out filling out your Life Wheel. Draw a circle on a blank piece of paper, divide it into the following 8 sections; 1.Career/Business 2.Finances 3.Health & Self Care 4.Intimacy/Significant Other 5.Social, Fun & Recreation 6.Personal/Spiritual Growth 7.Family, Friends & Community 8.Physical Environment.

Complete all the categories listed in the wheel by using words to describe your current experience and by ranking your level of satisfaction. Rank your satisfaction on a scale from 1 -10, with 1 being poor or almost non-existent and 10 is very good.

B. Get Inner Guidance

To create a life that you love is about filling it with doings, people, things and experiences that reflect your essence and what you are in harmony with. To choose well you need to know yourself well. Self discovery is a journey that is always ongoing, and it is helpful to use several different ways to learn about you.

In this article I am sharing some of my favorite tools to help you get to know who you are truly. This knowing will allow you to plant the seeds that will grow into a life of greater meaning, success and fulfillment…

1. Journaling

Even if you think you have nothing to write, sit down with pen and paper and see what comes out. Relax your mind and begin to write your dreams, remember that you are only writing for your eyes so there are no worries about other’s judgment, possible resentment and you already have all the skills, empowerment and money you need to dream big!

According to Universal Law, if you can think it you also have the capacities to manifest it. In other words, you are only able to tap into the inspiring ideas from the “universal vault of unending possibilities” that you can accomplish. Consider this statement seriously and keep writing down your dreams and visions on a regular basis. The consistency of this activity allows you to fine tune where your inspired heart is pulling you.

Another approach to journaling that is especially useful if you feel stuck is to ask your “higher self” questions in Q&A format. Here is an example. On a blank page in your journal, write “Q:” followed by your question, if you don’t even know what to ask, you can ask “what question do I need to ask to connect with my true desire?” On the next row write “A:” and wait for the answer to come to you, be in a relaxed state and don’t force. At times the answer may come almost instantly, at other times you may have to wait days or weeks… What is important here is to not give up; you will get your answer when you are ready for it…

2. Slow Down and Listen to Your Inner Voice

Most of us are too busy with day-to-day stuff to hear the message from our faint inner voices. This is important to get authentic direction in your life, and no one else can do this for you, only you can hear your inner voice.

Begin by making the decision to spend time with you. Give yourself a quiet space in your home, in nature or where you find peace. Be sure to minimize sensory stimulation, which means being away from bright lights, loud noise and other distractions. Since there is no off button on your mind, make it quiet by bringing your awareness to the rhythm of your breath, take deep, slow breaths and just be in the present moment. Release thoughts pulling you back to your past, they are not who you are. Release all thoughts pulling you towards the future, since they are not who you are. Just be in the moment and connect to the power that is always there for you but only when you unlock it by being totally present.

In this relaxed and intensely present state, allow yourself to step out of time and space and reach out to the formless universe that is always surrounding you. When you inner voice whispers or speaks to you, listen attentively and bring its wisdom with you as you re-enter your daily life and the world of form.

Have a date with yourself on a regular basis, and you will discover that it becomes easier to hear your inner voice whisper guidance for each step of your journey.

3. Get a Hand Analysis Life Purpose Reading and Learn Your Unique Success Map

What may take you years to discover on your own, you will learn in just one hour when you invest in yourself and get a Hand Analysis Life Purpose Reading… This may sound too good to be true, but your hands are actually a map of your soul psychology and personality. Your fingerprints reveal your soul’s calling or if you prefer your Life Purpose.

The fingerprints also bring your Life Lesson out of the dark. Your Life Lesson is your blind spot where you tend to get stuck and hold back. Learning your life lesson, and how to “work it” so it doesn’t keep you stuck, is fundamental to your future success. You may be able to figure out your Life Purpose on your own, but I have never met anyone who has uncovered their life lessons themselves (it is called your blind spot for a reason…)

Your hands also reveal your Personality, Temperament and potential Gift Markings. Gift Markings are present in around 30% of the population and are explosions of energy you need an outlet for in your life, or they will go into penalty mode which is no fun… In other words, the information in your hands reveals your unique energies that will always be at work in your life. By knowing what they are you can make conscious decisions to make them work for you, instead of against you.

C. Use Your Personal Insights as You Plan Your Year

After strengthening your communication within yourself, and hopefully also having a Life Purpose Reading, return to the Life Wheel, but this time write down specific goals that you would like to achieve in each area of your life by the end of 2009. Be sure to allow your insights gained from your improved internal communication, and from learning your unique Life Purpose & Lesson, to influence the goals you set in all categories of your Life Wheel.

Draw several copies of the Life Wheel and write specific goals for each spoke of your “Life Wheel”. Begin with a 1 year goal, and continue by breaking the goals down into more manageable pieces. Write a version for where you want to be in 6 months, in 3 months, in 1 month and use the “Life Wheel” to write down your weekly action steps. And don’t forget to get the satisfaction of checking them off as you accomplish your goals…) Good luck and don’t forget that all success is had one baby step at a time!

Goal Setting using Visualization

I have a blue convertible Beatle photo on my desk. On it, I edited my own photo and carefully placed it in the driver seat. I had shown it to John and he was amazed that it looks real as if I’m driving it. As such, when I’m in office, I can see the picture and see myself driving the Beatle.

Thus, visualization is a very important step in goal setting.

On Saturday, after Novena, we went to Serangoon for lunch. While driving out, we saw a private property open house. As such, we stopped and went in to take a look.

It’s 4 stories semi-detach. When entering the main gate, it’s a car pouch, which can take in 1 car. (Hmm. . . if I want to have 2 cars, then, I need to park one outside. Then walk up a flight of steps to enter the main door, which is the main hall: about the size of our current master room. There is another flight of steps that divided the dining hall and the living room, and the kitchen is an open concept and look bright. Through the kitchen’s window, we can see the neighbors, which is behind the house clearly.

We went upstairs, which have 1 master bedroom with toilet and 2 bedrooms with common toilet. The master bedroom is pretty huge. Then we went up further to another level which have another room and a rooftop garden. Lastly, we went all the way down to basement, which have 2 rooms and a indoor pond. I like the pond very much. The sound of the waterfall is perfect for me to be my working area. CW, my wife, was saying, maybe we can convert it to mini pool or Jacuzzi.

I estimated the price to be around 1.5M. While walking out of the place, Marina was so excited and she wanted to buy this house and move in. We asked the sales person the price and found out that it’s 1.3M. The 2 corner units are 1.5m and 1.6M. How3ver, both were taken.

Actually, we pretty like the concept and I like the waterfront and CW like the “open concept” which is has many full-size glass windows. However, one down point is . . . We dislike the many flight of steps. To be honest, just a short tour walking up and down 4 levels, my legs are cramped. I’m thinking if I am getting a landed property, I will want to live there for live. As such, if I’m old, I will have difficulties walking up and down. On top, mum will have problem also walking up and down.

After the show house, I have a clearer view of what kind of house I’m looking at. It should at most have 2 level or maybe with a basement. In the 1st level, it must have room and toilet.

I shared with CW that old estate such as AMK behind St Nicolas’ Girl School, could get it at about $600,000+. As Shears got it at about $600,000+ and he rebuild it for another $300,000+, which come to near $1,000,000. However, for a start, we may want to do some simple renovation, which should come around $700,000. Our current properties (HDB + Hougang Green) are both $300,000+. So if we sell both, we should be able to afford both. However, we just refinance Hougang Green, which have a lock in period of 3 years, so looking down the road, we should only change our house in 3 years time. I will drive CW to see those St Nicolas areas in near future.

Coincidentally, we saw on newspaper, yesterday, about another launch near Yishun, which combined facilities and landed property. The min unit is only $780,000 onwards. I quickly called Vincent about our Hougang Green and found out the interest is about 3.5% (I need this number for calculation). I did a quick calculation of loan 80%, which means for 30 years loan, our repayment per month is about $3,500+, which is near to $4,000.

That prompted me a important question: HOW TO BE ABLE TO AFFORT AND ACHIEVE IT. One way is looking at Shears, he is doing hosting and have about 500+ client which I did a quick calculation, if I got 500+ client, each charged $10.00 per month, then, I will have $5,000/month passive. Currently, I have about only 10 clients. So I must find ways to boost up my hosting service.

3 years! I am going to own a landed property. Other factors I’m looking at is:

1. Near MRT,
2. Near marketplace,
3. Near church.
4. Less flight of steps
5. Of course looking back, I miss an important question, how long is the lease? 99 years? 999 years? Or freehold?

I came across this financial verity show on Channel U, and actually, there is this freehold old house is only $1,100,000+. So, for now, we should still shop around and look around. It’s Visualization time!

Visualization . . .what if it does not work? Well, what can I lose? Nothing! BUT . . .what if it work? I will have what I visualized! So, no harm! Just visual!

Best Practices for Goal Setting

The famous motivational author and speaker Brian Tracy once said that if you don’t have your own goals, then you are working towards the goals of someone else.

It’s hard enough to build a successful network marketing business if you are aiming for a target that you cannot see. Imagine aiming for target that you don’t even have!

This article is focused on setting goals around your business. However, you should also set goals around all areas of your life. Spiritual goals, relationship goals, health goals, and family goals should all be on your list. However, just saying what you want is not enough. There is a specific way in which you should set goals outlined here.

1.It needs to be specific Don’t just make a goal that you want your business to grow or that you want to make a lot of money. You must be specific. How much money exactly do you want to be making? How many sales do you want to be producing? Don’t generalize, be specific.

2.It needs to be written down Saying your goals out loud, but committing them to pen and paper has real power. Make sure that you are writing them down.

3.It needs to have a time frame Also known as a deadline, your goals should have a specific date attached to them. You want to be making “X” amount of dollars by such and such date.

4.You must believe it If you write down a goal that you don’t believe you can achieve, then you are wasting your time. You must get it in your head that you can achieve the goal, that you have all the available resources you need and that anything you need that you don’t currently have will be made available to you at exactly the right moment.

5.Read your goals daily You can either read them out loud in the morning or in the evening before you go to sleep. It will seem funny if this is the first time you have ever done this, but the goal is to get the goals deep into your subconscious so that all of the decisions you make during the course of the day will be filtered against your goals.

Try to come up with at least 10 goals to start with. If you have never written down goals before you may find this challenging. That’s ok, just stick with it. Once you have all ten written down, then review them daily and watch what happens to your network marketing business!

Each one of these ideas is critical to your success. It’s also a good idea to check out some of the other resources available at mlmachiever.com They have some good articles that cover the basics of building a solid network marketing business.

The Importance of Goal Setting

The whole point of setting a goal is to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. If you set goals and work toward them diligently, you can have all the things you want. People who set and achieve their goals are people who’ve decided what they want, committed themselves to going after it, and haven’t let anything stand in their way, short of violating the rights of others.

A proper goal gives you all the incentive you need to grow in your awareness of being a perfect expression of an Infinite power, designed for excellence and abundance. As you become more welcoming and aware of your relationship with God, and of all the potential that’s been built into you, you’ll function more effectively in harmony with the laws of the universe. Living in synch with all of this will yield results you’ve never dreamed possible.

They say that awareness is curative. It gives deep meaning to life because it spells the end of your robotic existence, no more walking in the deep ruts formed by your harmful programming and counterproductive thought life. These old ways of thinking aren’t ways you’ve chosen, they were planted in your heart when you were young by your parents, teachers, and religious leaders. While some of these programs serve you well, many of them are harmful and ready to be replaced. The old way of “living” has kept you from a truly abundant life.

But, in order to truly change, your old habits have to be replaced with new, healthy practices. Having a solid goal in place serves as a constant help as you do this. In fact, without a specific goal, you’re unlikely to ever make a significant change in your life. While you’re on your way toward achieving your goals, you learn to choose which thoughts you’ll allow into your mind. You’ll see the connection between these thoughts, the feelings and attitudes they produce, and ultimately the results they yield. It’s not something someone else can do for you.

Ever notice how your life never really stays the same? You’re either improving it or damaging it, your actions aren’t neutral. As a spiritual being, your spirit constantly seeks expansion and greater expression. When this deep desire is thwarted, you experience a feeling of dissatisfaction. That feeling is unpleasant enough to serve as a good motivator. We hate feeling unfulfilled, and work diligently to escape such an unpleasant feeling. We’ll do pretty much anything to satisfy this need.

This need for fulfillment goes way beyond just things and money, although they are important. They give you comfort and opportunity. It goes beyond happy feelings or a sense of peace, although they’re important, too. Our drive for complete fulfillment includes these things, but goes so much further, it’s a deep desire for a big purpose, something that catapults you into creativity, into meaningful and effective service.
Great, you were created to pursue worthy goals. How do you set them? How do you go after them? What can you do to make sure you achieve these grand goals?

Half the battle with goal-setting is determining exactly what it is that you want. Sounds easy enough, you answer that question just fine at a restaurant, on your birthday, when you get your hair cut. But when it comes to the big “what do you want” question, minds go blank. We don’t know what’s okay to ask for. What’s too much? Am I overreaching? How am I going to feel if I ask for something that’s beyond possibility?

Wow, such bad programming we pick up! Ask any little kid what they want to be when they grow up and you’ll hear answers like: the President, an astronaut, a gazillionaire, a cat, a rock star. Nothing seems impossible; nothing seems like it’ll come back to haunt you if it doesn’t work out.

Deciding what you want is risky. Telling someone else can feel uncomfortable. You might feel like you’ve got to preface it with something like, “Please don’t tell anyone, Can you keep a secret, I know it sounds crazy, but” But you know what? People who set and achieve awesome goals are risk takers, they’ve learned to be. They know that they’ve got the privilege and duty to design their own lives, make their own decisions. They dare to dream, and dream big. The power is in going after what you want, not in going after what you need.

Think you don’t have what it takes to meet your goals? Then here’s some great news, you’ve already got everything that could ever be necessary to produce amazing results in your life. You’ve got access to all you need, whether you see it right now or not. So, don’t worry about that as you choose goals. Assume you have every resource you need, right at your fingertips, because you do.

How To Set Your Relationship Goals With Goal Setting Tactics

In order for a relationship to work and stand the trials and tribulations that come with love, it is important for a few expectations and goals to be set. When goals are created in a relationship, the chances of surviving a long-lasting relationship are pretty high.

Building trust and understanding that lasts a lifetime is great way to achieve the level of satisfaction one would expect in a relationship. This is where goals become an important part of the process. And it’s not just one person setting goals and following them – relationships are a two-way street where happiness falls on the shoulders of both parties involved.

Also, it is important to let all goals be known because all too often, relationships fall apart when one partner is desperately trying to achieve a goal that their significant other shows no interest or compassion for. Usually, these goals serve a better purpose when they are established at the beginning of a relationship.

Sometimes, this is rather hard to accomplish since so many couples fall head over heels with one another before truly exploring their desires, goals, dreams and even sometimes character and personality. When you don’t set goals that both individuals are willing to accept or put forth an honest effort, the relationship will most likely fail within a couple of years. Setting goals play quite an important role in the affairs of Cupid, don’t you think?

Usually, married folk or seriously involved partners are able to stick with one another for the long haul when setting personal plans and goals that each agree on. And don’t think these relationship goals are unbreakable. As time passes in a relationship, it is a good idea to conduct frequent assessments and evaluations of couple progress.

This is because various factors, such as career changes, babies and moving in with one another seem to shake up the dynamic that was established before the change. It is always good to stay on top of the changing wants and needs of your partner and, sometimes, this means reestablishing and setting new goals for the future. Make sure at some point you either vocalize your new goals or write them down so that neither one of you are left in the dark.

It is these sorts of surprises that have a habit of tearing couples apart. So, if you plan to move to Alaska for a new job in two years, you better let your girlfriend know before making solid plans. You may find yourself on your own if the situation isn’t discussed together. If you recently decided you no longer want kids with your husband who has always wanted two or three, you should discuss this subject on the double because it seriously affects the future the two of you will have with one another.

Relationship Goal Setting Do’s and Don’ts

1) Do show support in all of the things your partner tries to do and express your opinions instead of holding them inside.

2) Do keep the lines of communication open and active on a daily basis.

3) Don’t smother your partner and always assess the dependency each of you hold for one another.

4) Do express your concerns regarding intimacy.

5) Don’t hide your feelings of dissatisfaction – the buildup will only worsen, which can lead to multiple fights and unhappy times in the future.

6) Do think towards to future and assess whether you can see yourself with your mate for the rest of your life.

7) Do respect the feelings and rights that your partner has in the relationship. Don’t become overbearing.

8) Do help your significant other to grow and progress in life.

9) Don’t ever let the fun fizzle out of your relationship. Do keep an open mind and try new things.

10) Do keep an open mind when it comes to solving problems you and your partner may experience. You always have to allow the other to explain his or her version.

Also, don’t let problems build up in a relationship. It is important to express all of your feelings in order to achieve the relationship goals you have set with your partner.

Goal Setting Secret – How to Stay Focused on your Goal

One of the biggest reasons people miss or don’t achieve their goals, isn’t because the goal is too hard; it’s because it is difficult to stay focused on the goal. Have you ever set a goal in your life and as soon as you set it, immediately you began to see all the obstacles that could prevent you from reaching that goal?

By losing your focus and paying more attention to the obstacles, you find that your motivation begins to wane because you don’t see how you will ever reach your goal. Some of the most common obstacles will see are lack of time, money, resources, experience, and knowledge, just to name a few.

The best way to overcome these obstacles is to break your goal down into bite sized pieces. By doing so, you will be able to focus on each of the smaller pieces of your goal. As you get the smaller pieces completed, you will begin to find that the picture of your larger goal is actually coming together.

For instance, if you want to write a book, don’t focus on how you have to write 200-500 pages of material. Focus on just writing 2-5 pages per day.

Or, if you want to loose 50 pounds, don’t focus on how you are going lose 50 pounds. Instead, focus on how you are going to loose ½ -1 pound per week.

Or, if you have debts of $10,000 that you want to pay off, don’t focus on the $10,000, focus on controlling your overspending and paying off $100 – $500 per month.

You see, if you remove the obstacles by breaking your goal down into achievable tasks, you will be able to stay focused and reach your goal much faster than you ever thought possible.

Goal Setting – Understanding Goal Setting Like Henry Ford Did

Everyone knows what a great success Henry Ford was. The odds are that you have probably been in a car with his name on it more than once in your lifetime. You can’t become as successful as Henry Ford without understanding the proper way to set goals.

Henry Ford was on the cutting edge of technology in his day. He was a visionary with big plans. You probably have much less weight on your shoulders than Henry Ford did, but you may still be having problems with achieving the goals that you have set. So how do you achieve those great things?

Henry Ford gave a sneak peak into how he sets his goals when he said, ‘Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.’ You see, he had huge goals in front of him but he divided things up into smaller, easier jobs. This seems so simple but, how many times have you put more pressure on yourself than needed because you set a huge goal without breaking it down to smaller, more manageable goals?

If you have a goal to earn $5,000 more per month than you are earning right now, break it down into smaller goals. For instance, set your first mini-goal at earning an extra $500 per month. Once you have achieved that, you will have acquired the skills to set another mini-goal of earning an extra $1,000 per month. Keep this up until you reach your larger goal of earning an extra $5,000 per month.

In following Henry Ford’s advice, you will prevent yourself from getting discouraged if you aren’t able to hit your big goal right away. Learn from people who are more successful than you are at setting and achieving goals. If you do, you will find that things in your life will move much faster than you thought they could.

Tips of Effective Goal Setting

For a business or private person, setting goals is very important. It helps them to identify plans for their future and allows them to create a plan for realizing their dreams. The task of goal setting is not as simple as it might seem. Here are five tips of effective goal setting to help you with your plans.

1.Write down your goals. It is very important to write your goals down and post them where you will see them every day. This will help you be more committed to the goal and allow you to renew that commitment each and every day. People who do not write down their goals, do not achieve their goals.

2.Make sure your goals are realistic. Setting unrealistic goals is simply setting yourself up for failure. Do not make goals that you know are not attainable. It is also important to put a realistic time frame on your goals so that you do not get discouraged when you are not able to achieve the goal you set for yourself.

3.Prioritize your goals. Look at all of the goals that you have written down. Sort them by order of importance. The most urgent goals should be focused on first, and those of lesser importance can be accomplished once the others are met.

4.Set both long term and short term goals. Long term goals help you to plan for your future. They can be as short as a year or as long as twenty years from now. Short term goals allow you a sense of accomplishment on a more regular basis. If all of your goals are long term, then you will quickly be discouraged. Short term goals help you to stay on track.

5.Reward yourself. It is so important to celebrate when you reach your goals. It is also good to reward yourself when you achieve smaller milestones on the path to success. This helps you to stay motivated and focused. It also makes striving toward your goals much more fun!

Writing Goals effectively

Now that you have your goals down on paper, you can begin to schedule your day around what you plan to achieve. It is important to complete that step because everything that you do in your life, no matter how large or small should reflect in a positive manner on your goals.

Effective scheduling helps you to put everything down on paper that you need to do, helps you to positively identify the important tasks for you to complete to reach your goals and helps you to ultimately make decisions that are on target with your life.

The end result: you manage your time in the best way possible to make your goals reality.

With any form of scheduling, you need to analyze several key things. First, realize that you have a limited amount of time to make anything happen. Second, you need to find the best use of your time to obtain the goals that you have.

Now, here are some tips to help you to use proper scheduling to benefit your overall life, your time and your goal achievements.

1. Be realistic. Always plan for what can be accomplished in the right amount of time. Overbooking yourself does not help you in any way at all.

2. Plan for important things first. Giving yourself the ability to achieve your goals is important, but some things are must do things that you can not avoid.

3. Provide yourself with some level of flexibility. Bad things happen all of the time. Even just unexpected but important things need a place to be put when the time comes.

4. Do not over commit yourself. It can be quite powerful to say no to someone when you know that you just can not commit to it. This helps you to say yes to those things that are more important to you.

5. Always plan to use your time in the best manner possible.

When you do these things, you can put together a schedule that is well thought out and planned for success. A schedule like this that is used at work or in your business helps you to maximize the amount of time you have so that you dedicate all of your energy to the most important things, accomplishing more in a shorter amount of time. Then, you can have your time to yourself!
